‘The Neighborhood’: Beth Behrs Posts Major Series Finale Spoiler

Whoops! The Neighborhood has officially wrapped filming its eighth and final season, and the stars are posting emotional tributes. But they might not have realized that in those tributes, they shared a big spoiler for the series finale.

Beth Behrs, who plays Gemma Johnson on the show, shared a post on Instagram on February 19. “Playing ‘Gemma’ for 8 years through marriage, global pandemics, 2 strikes, motherhood, and all the other bits of life has been an absolute gift- and that is thanks to this incredible cast and crew. @cedtheentertainer @iammaxgreenfield @tichinaarnold @sheaunmckinney @mrmarcelspears @hank_greenspan @skyetownsend @amberonistevenswest laughing with you every single day has brought me immense joy. And thank you to all of you who watched us on @cbstv all these years. We are so grateful! THAT’S A WRAP!” she wrote.

She shared photos of herself and the cast throughout the eight years on the show. The pictures featured group hugs, behind-the-scenes moments, and guest stars. But, she also shared a video that might have been a bit spoilery.

In the video, Behrs, Tichina Arnold (Tina Butler), Cedric The Entertainer (Calvin Butler), and Sheaun McKinney (Malcolm Butler) were standing on set in suits and fancy dresses. Arnold and Behrs wrapped each other in an emotional hug as Cedric blew kisses. Behrs wiped away tears and blew kisses to the crew and cast.

As the camera panned, the rest of the cast — Marcel Spears (Marty Butler), Hank Greenspan (Grover Johnson), Max Greenfield (Dave Johnson), and Marty’s daughter, Daphne — all clapped and cheered. They were dressed in suits and tuxes, and Daphne was in a pink dress.

The big spoiler was Skye Townsend, who plays Courtney, Daphne’s mother, seen in a wedding dress. Marty talked about buying a ring for Courtney earlier in the season, but her response has not yet been revealed. Now, it appears that the series will end sometime in the future with Marty and Courtney’s wedding.

Amber Stevens West, who plays reality TV star Mercedes, also shared a spoilery video on her Instagram Story of the wedding. The cast stood in their wedding garb and snapped photos. Stevens West was in a long dress, holding a bouquet, implying that she is a bridesmaid, which also means that she and Malcolm stay together. The two of them kissed during the winter finale, hinting at the start of their relationship.

Although fans may now know how the Butler sons’ stories end, everyone else’s story ending is not yet known.

The Neighborhood returns with all-new episodes on Monday, February 23. Arnold revealed on Instagram on February 19 that they finished filming the series. A finale date has not yet been announced.
