A teenager has been awarded a Guinness World Record for the largest collection of Jellycat memorabilia – and said her haul is still growing.
Hope Roberts, 19, began collecting two years ago and had her achievement verified in December after a stock take counted 877 Jellycat items.
However, a recent inventory means Hope’s collection now stands at 1,021 cuddly toys, keyrings and stickers amongst others.
Jellycat is a British soft toy company founded in 1999 but found massive global popularity in recent years as a viral sensation.
Hope, from Bedford, runs her own TikTok account and Instagram highlighting her finds and said the cuddly toys bring her “so much joy.”
She said: “There are some many different varieties and there’s always something for everyone.
“Jellycats bring me so much joy and the community is lovely.
“My collection is on display mainly in my bedroom and in my childhood bedroom at my parent’s house.
“I display them whether they’re preloved, secondhand or brand new. I don’t treat them any differently.”
Hope began collecting the memorabilia two years ago when she saw one of the cream bunnys with a pink bow in a charity shop.
She bought the Jellycat for just 20p and said the price had ‘caught her eye’.
Hope said: “I was familiar with the brand and from there, I received some Jellycats as gifts.
“I became more interested in the varieties and the variations.
“My collection grew gradually but quickly. They do pin badges, gift bags, anything you can think of.
“I don’t have a particular favorite because I feel mean just picking one.”
Hope’s rarest Jellycat toys are a medium and small Bashful Maple Bunny which she got for a ‘bargain price’.
Sellers on eBay have listed these Jellycats for up to £2k.
Hope said she was unable put an estimate on her collection as many of the items were gifted or second hand.
She said: “They’re very sought after and the resale price is incredibly high. I got mine for a bargain price, around £6 or £7.
“People have been in love with Jellycats for years.
“But the mention of them on social media has helped with the rise of people getting inspired to collect them.
“I’ve got a rare and retired Juniper Lux bashful bunny which has my name personalized on the ear.
“It was gifted to me by my grandma Sue and it’s lovely.”
Hope runs a TikTok account with 29k followers and an Instagram account with 22k followers (@hopesjellycats).
She posts content of her Jellycat collection and decorates her display for each season, whether it’s Halloween or Christmas.
On December 3, 2025, Hope was awarded the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of Jellycat memorabilia.
She said: “It’s very crazy and I’m still shocked. But it’s been incredible.
“They would like me to redo the record later in the year with how my collection is growing.”
Upon finishing the rigorous counting, adjudicator Emma said: “The count itself was fairly straightforward, and the items were neatly organized (until I messed it all up with my counting – I did ask Hope if it was ok beforehand!).
“She is an incredibly bright, lovely, bubbly young lady and she was absolutely elated with receiving a Guinness World Records title.
“And she was completely up for our mad requests, like burying her in a sea of Jellycat toys!”
