PASCO, Wash. – Swigg Coffee Bar is teaming up with Numerica Credit Union to support local girl scout troops, May 12th to May 16th.
For every drink purchased this week at Swig’s Pasco and West Richland locations, Numerica Credit Union will donate $1 to the Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Idaho (up to $5,000).
This marks the third year of the partnership, which is part of Numerica’s larger initiative (Numerica CARES) to address generational poverty and trauma.
The Girl Scouts are well-known for their cookie sales, but they also provide valuable programs, including camps.
The funds raised will primarily support such summer camp programs.
Brian Newberry, Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Idaho’s CEO, mentioned that they have a ton of camp experiences planned, with more than 500 at their resident camp.
“We need a little bit of jolt to make that all happen, and this caffeine at Swigg Coffee, both here and at West Richland, is what’s going to make the difference for us,” he added.
Swigg Coffee Bar offers a variety of locally inspired drinks. Their espresso is roasted by Houdini Roasters. Popular drinks include the Missile, a chocolate macadamia and white chocolate brevet, and the Chupacabra, which features white coffee. They also offer energy drinks called rallies, similar to Red Bulls, which can be customized with various flavors.
