Suspects caught after Kennewick home invasion attempt

Kennewick, Wash. – Kennewick Police arrested two men accused of chasing two people into a home while armed with a gun.

Police were called out to investigate following reports of a gun being aimed at a vehicle on N Edison St.

The suspects followed the vehicle to a home on N. Irving Place where police said the two people who were being chased managed to barricade themselves inside, police said.

The suspects attempted to kick down the door and threatened to use the gun against the victims but the suspects fled when they realized law enforcement had been called, police added.

Pasco Police Department later arrested the suspects in connection with another incident. They were taken into custody and booked into Franklin County Jail on felony charges.

Kennewick Police said they will send charges for attempted residential burglary to the Benton County Prosecutor. The vehicle used by the suspects is being held for a search warrant by Pasco PD, and further charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
