YAKIMA, Wash. – Starting Tuesday, May 27, road closures will affect the Fruitvale Boulevard/River Road/34th Avenue area due to roundabout construction.
From 7 a.m., Fruitvale Boulevard at River Road and 34th Avenue will close to commercial truck traffic. River Road access from Fruitvale Boulevard will close to all motor vehicles. Detours will be posted for drivers.
Yakima Transit Route 3 will also detour starting May 27. There will be no bus service on River Road between North 34th Avenue and North 20th Avenue.
The bus will instead travel east on Fruitvale Blvd to North 20th Avenue, then turn left on North 20th Avenue and right on River Road to resume its route.
Access to properties in the construction area will be maintained.
