RICHLAND, Wash. – The City of Richland, alongside West Richland, has finished a significant upgrade to the Tapteal 1 Pump Station near Duportail and Queensgate.
The facility now operates 20 feet lower in elevation, enhancing its efficiency, the city of Richland announced on its website.
The pump station’s capacity has increased to over 13,000 gallons per minute. The project also includes onsite chlorine generation and a backup diesel generator.
The $5 million upgrade was funded by Water Utility funds and contributions from West Richland, the city of Richland added.
