RICHLAND, Wash. – The City of Richland is moving forward with the third phase of its Intersection Safety Improvement Project.
Two mini-roundabouts are already complete, and now construction is starting on a third at Swift Boulevard and Wright Avenue, the city said in a release.
The intersection will be closed to all traffic from June 11, 2025, through the end of July 2025. The city said a clearly marked detour will guide drivers around the construction area.
Additional improvements include new signage, pavement markings, and traffic control enhancements at Goethals Drive and Torbett Street and Wright Avenue and Lee Boulevard.
An Advanced Warning System at Kennedy Road and Duportail Street will alert drivers of stopped or turning vehicles.
