RICHLAND, Wash. – Fire Chief Tom Huntington is set to retire after 31 years of service, the City of Richland announced on Wednesday. Deputy Fire Chief Randy Aust has been appointed to succeed him on January 1, 2026.

Huntingon led the department for more than 10 years after rising from firefighter to chief. He also worked in operations for 15 years.
