RICHLAND, Wash. – The City of Richland has announced significant traffic impacts this week due to ongoing work on the South George Washington Way Intersection Project.

Daytime lane closures are scheduled for Tuesday, November 11 and Wednesday, November 12. From 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the northbound left-turn lane onto Aaron/Adams and the inside southbound lane will be closed.

Aaron Drive will remain open, and the southbound left turn onto Columbia Point Drive will still be accessible. However, Columbia Point Drive westbound onto George Washington Way will be reduced to a single lane. Drivers are advised to use the detour via Comstock Street to Goethals Drive.

Overnight work will take place on Wednesday, November 12, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Flaggers will control the George Washington Way/Columbia Point Drive intersection during this time to facilitate the installation of new traffic signal arms.

The City urges drivers to plan for delays, reduce speeds in work zones, and follow posted detours.
