RICHLAND, Wash. – Richland City Council candidate Donald “Donnie” Landsman passed away on August 31, his daughter announced on his professional Facebook page.
She mentioned that funeral arrangements are being organized but did not provide further details.
According to state law, Landsman will remain on the November ballot. If he wins, a vacancy will be declared. The city explained that once a vacancy is declared, the council will have 60 days to vote on appointing someone to fill the position until the next election.
