RICHLAND, Wash. – One of the Tri-City’s best museums is celebrating its 11th anniversary with special events and discounts. The REACH Museum is offering an 11% discount and extended hours until 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Visitors can enjoy a free day at the museum on Thursday as well, which features exhibits that tell stories from the Hanford Reach National Monument, the Mid-Columbia’s natural history, the Manhattan project, and much more.

Pauline Schafer, a museum staff member, emphasized the importance of the exhibits. “I love introducing people to the natural wonders, especially if it’s right in your own backyard,” she said. The gallery offers insights into the geologic history, rocks, fossils, and the impact of the Manhattan Project on the region’s culture.
