Random Acts of Kindness Week kicks off

KENNEWICK, Wash. – The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation states that February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day.

To kick off Random Acts of Kindness Week, Chris Wright was live in Kennewick to share some good cheer. Wright was joined by Griffith Luke, who works security for TCM, and also serves as a custodian for the Kennewick School District. Luke recently welcomed a newborn and moved into a new house.

In celebration of the week, Luke received two gift cards, one from Amazon and one from Lowe’s.

“Oh, my goodness. With having a newborn, and actually we just moved into a house fairly recently. Lowe’s is going to come in super handy along with Amazon.” Griffith said. “Thank you guys very much. This is very appreciated. And almost getting a little emotional about this. Thank you.”

Leo Garcia, an employee at Maverik, was also gifted a blank gift card. He says he plans to pay it forward, and give it to a random passerby.

Pass along your own random act of kindness this week. You never know if it’ll make their day!
