PASCO, Wash. – Jean Ryckman, a key figure in the Port of Pasco’s leadership, has announced her retirement effective December 31, 2025, the port said in a release.

Reflecting on her time as Commissioner for District 2, Ryckman expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts with staff and fellow commissioners.

“The Commissioners and staff have worked side by side to bring many new opportunities and living wage jobs to Franklin County,” she said.

During her tenure, the Port said Ryckman oversaw significant milestones, including the 2014 airport terminal expansion and the acquisition of 300 acres for the Reimann Industrial Center in 2019.

She also highlighted the Darigold groundbreaking in 2022 and the approval of a second terminal expansion in 2025.

“I love having the opportunity to be a small part of the Port’s accomplishments,” Ryckman stated, adding that it is time for new ideas and energy in the Commission.

Adam Lincoln, the Port’s Executive Director, said Ryckman has been instrumental in the Port’s growth over her nearly 13-year tenure.

“We are grateful for her service and wish her the best in her next ventures,” Lincoln said.

Looking forward to retirement, Ryckman plans to spend more time with her grandchildren, travel, and enjoy her reading list, the Port added in the release.

Her early announcement aligns with the May 5-9 Candidate Filing Period for residents in the Port’s Commissioner District No. 2.
