
RICHLAND, Wash. – PFLAG Benton Franklin is hosting a birth certificate clinic in Richland on Sat., March 1.
Clinic attendees 18 or older can update their Washington state issued birth certificates to match their preferred gender, marker or legal name.
Attendees must bring their state issued driver’s license or ID card and a certified copy of their legal name change court order if updating their name, which will need to be mailed in and will not be returned by the state.
A notary will be on site to notarize applications at no cost. Only birth certificates issued by Washington state can be updated at the clinic.
The clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the PFLAG Benton Franklin office at 719 Jadwin Ave., Ste 24.
