PENDLETON, Ore. – A minor was taken into custody on the evening of August 29 following reports of a brush fire near Sunridge Middle School and Southeast Nye Avenue.
Pendleton Police Department (PPD) stated on social media that they received multiple 911 calls about the brush fire beginning at around 5:40 p.m.
Several neighboring fire agencies joined the Pendleton Fire Department in fire suppression efforts.
PPD said no other information about the suspect will be released due to legal restrictions for minors.
