PASCO, Wash. – Pasco City Council plans to discuss potential enhancements for the 2026 Fourth of July celebration, marking the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The current Grand Old 4th of July celebration costs about $80,000 and includes traditional events such as a parade, car show and fireworks show. However, the council is considering additional features that could increase the budget.
A drone show could be added, with costs depending on the number of drones and the company chosen. Company prices range from $150 to $400 per drone.
In August, a drone show, the first of its kind in the Tri-Cities, dazzled fans at Gesa Stadium.
Other potential enhancements include a time capsule, flags lining Burden Blvd. to Gesa Stadium, a torch run from City Hall to Gesa Stadium and a drone show. The estimated costs vary, with the time capsule ranging from $250 to $3,000, and the torch run costs estimated between $11,750 and $17,500.
The council is expected to provide direction on the proposed options during their workshop meeting on November 24, 2025.
