PASCO, Wash. – The Pasco Taco Crawl is gearing up for a flavorful return this spring, inviting residents and visitors to indulge in tacos while supporting a good cause.
The event is set to take place between April 18 to May 3, during which participants can taste 20 different tacos from local eateries.
Participants will use a $40 voucher booklet to sample tacos from various spots around Pasco. They are encouraged to take notes and vote for their favorite taco by May 3.
Tracci Dial, a taco connoisseur, explained what makes a perfect taco. “In the booklet, you get to vote on tortillas, the fillings, the salsas, the toppings. And really, that’s all it takes to make a great taco,” she said.
The event not only highlights local culinary talent but also supports the Boys and Girls Club. Brian Ace from the Boys and Girls Club emphasized the importance of the event. “The Taco Crawl, since it started, has been just an awesome experience for kids and for communities,” he stated.
“When you invest in these local businesses, you also get to invest in the kids that live in and go to school and play around these businesses.”
The Pasco Taco Crawl promises a fun experience for attendees and a positive impact on the community. Keep an eye out for participating vendors sharing more about their restaurants.
This year, the crawl is introducing some exciting new vendors to the community.
Two newcomers, Tri-Cities Afghan Food and Bulldog Bistro, are joining the lineup of restaurants participating in the event.
Amina Mohammed, representing Tri-Cities Afghan Food, shared that her restaurant offers a unique selection of Afghani dishes, featuring kebabs. biryani, qabeli, falafel, and more.
Mohammad emphasized her decision to join the Taco Crawl was driven by the opportunity to connect with the community and support a good cause.
Maria Escamilla, another new participant, operates Bulldog Bistro. “Honestly, I’m lucky that I found a place where I can serve comfort food,” Escamilla said, expressing her excitement about contributing flavors to Pasco’s vibrant and growing food community.
Participants can sign up for the Pasco Taco Crawl by April 18. Vouchers and booklets for the event can be picked up in downtown Pasco. More details are available on the Pasco Taco Crawl’s Facebook page.
