PASCO, Wash. – The City of Pasco is inviting residents and stakeholders to join two listening sessions focused on the Shoreline Master Program (SMP) user guide.
These sessions, set for Wed., April 16 and Tue., May 20 at 6:30 p.m., will be held in the Council Chambers at Pasco City Hall, 525 N. 3rd Ave.
The SMP is vital for balancing environmental protection with public access and water use, as mandated by the Washington State Shoreline Management Act. The user guide is designed to help the public understand key components of the SMP for Pasco’s shorelines.
Participants will have the chance to learn about the SMP, review the draft user guide and provide feedback. Community input is crucial to ensure the guide meets the needs of Pasco’s diverse population.
The draft SMP User Guide is available on the City’s website for pre-session review.
