Pasco Masonic Lodge to host fundraiser for therapeutic horsemanship organization

PASCO, Wash.–Pasco Masonic Lodge will host a fundraising dinner on Valentine’s Day for Pasco Strides Therapeutic Horsemanship Center.

Strides offers programs meant to empower people with disabilities, veterans, first responders and other emergency service personnel, according to a Pasco Masonic Lodge press release. The organization combines therapeutic benefits of horseback riding and human-animal connection to promote emotional well-being and resilience.

Therapy offered by Strides can improve balance and motor skills while adding a sense of calm and connection, which especially helps veterans and first-responders manage stress and PTSD, according to the release. Strides serves the purpose of creating a bond between people and horses to create life-changing experiences.

Doors open for the fundraising dinner at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Columbia Basin Shrine Club in Pasco, and the Tri-Tip dinner will be at 6 p.m., according to the release.
