
PASCO, Wash. – The Pasco Fire Department responded to a house fire on South Sycamore Avenue early Tuesday morning, per a press release.
Firefighters arrived at 1:47 a.m. and quickly worked to ensure the safety of the occupants and control the blaze.
The fire was brought under control by 1:56 a.m. Crews searched the home, checked the attic for more fire and ventilated the building to clear smoke. No residents or firefighters were injured in the incident.
The home suffered damage and will require repairs before it can be reoccupied. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it appears to be unintentional, according to PFD.
PFD received assistance from Pasco Police Department, Franklin County Fire District 3 and Franklin PUD. The American Red Cross is supporting the displaced residents.
