PASCO, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) reported that its Pasco community corrections field office was mistakenly targeted as federal immigration enforcement and vandalized.
The field offices, including the one in Pasco, serve as locations for DOC staff, programming and as places for individuals under community supervision to report, DOC said.
DOC added that these offices often have unmarked state vehicles in their parking lots, which may have contributed to the confusion leading to vandalism.
