PASCO, Wash. – The Pasco City Council is set to choose finalists for the City Manager position during a special meeting Monday night, according to the city council’s agenda report.
The role became vacant in February 2025, and Dave Zabell has been serving as the interim City Manager since then.
GMP Consultants have been assisting in the recruitment process, attracting a pool of candidates through national advertising and direct outreach. The recruitment process included preliminary screenings and interviews conducted by GMP Consultants.
On June 23, 2025, the City Council met in an Executive Session to review candidate materials and discuss qualifications. Now, the council is scheduled to select finalist candidates who will be invited for final interviews anticipated later in July.
After the Council’s selection, GMP Consultants will inform the finalists and arrange the logistics for the interviews. Staff will support the Council in planning additional elements of the interview process, which may include community engagement or panel activities, the report added.
