The Pasco City Council has approved the early release of city manager Adam Lincoln following his announcement to depart.
Lincoln informed the city council on January 17 that he accepted the Executive Director role at the Port of Pasco, replacing Randy Hayden who retires in March, said a Port of Pasco release.
Under the terms of Lincoln’s employment agreement, Lincoln was required to give the city 60 days notice prior to voluntarily terminating his employment.
City Council decided at its special meeting January 27 to utilize the provisions of Section 10 which says Lincoln agrees to make payments of a sum equal to the value of pay and benefits for the balance of the 60 day period until March 18, 2025.
At the meeting, members of the city council expressed their thanks and gratitude to Lincoln for more than four years of service as Deputy City Manager and City Manager. Lincoln said it was an honor to serve the City of Pasco.
“I’m glad all still remains in the city of Pasco and to serve our residents. I can’t say enough good things about the staff,” Lincoln said at the meeting.
The city of Pasco is now in need of a city manager. While the search is being conducted, the city council at its special meeting voted in support of GMP Consulting to provide interim city manager services during the transition.
