RICHLAND, Wash. – Dr. Mark Mulholland, a longtime OB-GYN, is facing more than half a dozen lawsuits for sexual assault. Allegations against him have emerged from several women in recent weeks, suggesting a deeper issue.
Two plaintiffs, who have chosen to remain anonymous, recounted their experiences during appointments with Dr. Mulholland.
One of them shared, “It was supposed to be just a routine doctor’s appointment. Doctor Mark Mulholland entered the room, he demanded my husband to move out of view. Then he moved on doing a physical exam. And that physical exam, wasn’t routine. It was not medically necessary.”
She added, “He sexually assaulted me. And despite my attempts to get him to stop, he continued. I did ask him to stop, and he didn’t care. Doctor Mark Mulholland sexually assaulted me that day.”
Dr. Mulholland has been practicing as an OB-GYN for over 20 years. The lawsuits allege instances of abuse dating back to 2005 and as recent as 2025.
One lawyer familiar with the case, Mallory Allen, indicated, “I think it is very fair to assume that there are probably hundreds of people, right, because many women will never come forward.”
The plaintiffs believe that there was a pattern of abuse that was overlooked. One plaintiff shared, “I had other people who said to me, I hated him. He was inappropriate with me. He asked me questions that I thought were inappropriate about my sex life.”
Kadlec, where Dr. Mulholland previously practiced, confirmed he is no longer with them but declined to comment on the litigation.
The lawsuits are still in the early stages, but the plaintiffs hope to bring attention to the issue.
One plaintiff stated, “I do hope that at the end of all of this, that they know they’re not crazy. That this is absolutely a universal experience between all of these women that are coming forward.”
