Netflix sent an email to its subscribers on Friday titled “Welcoming Warner Brothers to Netflix.”
In the email, Netflix reassured subscribers that “nothing is changing today” and both Netflix and Warner Brothers will continue to operate separately until the deal closes.
This assurance was reiterated in a frequently asked questions section, where Netflix confirmed that nothing will change with a subscriber’s current plan.
Both companies expect the deal to close later next year, pending regulatory approval. Warner Brothers plans to split into publicly traded companies next year, with Netflix taking over the streaming and studio side.
The remaining part of Warner Brothers will be renamed “Discovery Global” and will host CNN and other cable channels.
