YAKIMA, Wash. – The Yakima Police Department is actively searching for 19-year-old Maritsa Bermudez, a student at IKE, who was reported missing on January 9, 2026. Bermudez, who is developmentally delayed, did not return home from school.
Bermudez, also known by her nickname “Amy,” was last seen on school video cameras at about 2:50 p.m. walking south on the west sidewalk of S. 40th Ave. She was wearing tan pants and an olive green jacket.
Police are urging anyone with information on Bermudez’s whereabouts to call 911 immediately.
Authorities are conducting a thorough search and are looking for any leads that could help locate her. The community is encouraged to stay vigilant and report any sightings.
