Missing person investigation results in homicide arrests in Tri-Cities

KENNEWICK, Wash. – An ongoing missing person investigation from May 2024 resulted in the arrest of two suspects on Thursday, both facing first degree murder charges.

On May 22, 2024, the Kennewick Police Department reported that 39-year-old Anibal Arreola had disappeared under suspicious circumstances and that his family had not seen him since March.

Through the investigation, KPD with assistance from the Pasco Police Department determined that Arreola had been murdered at a home in Pasco.

KPD reports that three suspects were identified as a result and two were arrested in Kennewick and Richland respectively on Thursday.

The third suspect is currently in custody for an unrelated case in Montana and will be charged in connection to the murder.

Despite assistance from several agencies, Arreola’s body has not been found. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact KPD at 509-628-0333 or submit information anonymously through the KPD tips website.
