YAKIMA, Wash.-Yakima Valley College’s Astronomy Program is hosting an Astronomy Night on Sunday, Nov. 19, from 6-7 p.m.
The free event outside of Glenn Anthon Hall, Building #4 is open to the public and offers attendees a close-up look at the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn and more in the night sky.
Attendees will have the opportunity to look through two 12-inch reflecting telescopes during the event, according to YVC and Astronomy Instructor Zach Schierl will be available to answer any questions.
The Astronomy Night is dependent on the weather and will be rescheduled if it’s too cloudy, according to YVC.
