Learn car seat safety: Richland course offers certification March 19-22

KENNEWICK, Wash. – Safe Kids Benton-Franklin, led by the Benton-Franklin Health District, is hosting a four-day certification course to improve child safety in vehicles.

The course is designed for community members and professionals passionate about child safety.

The training will take place from March 19 to 22, 2025, at the Richland Library, 955 Northgate Dr., Richland, WA.

It runs daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and costs $195, which includes certification, materials, and lunch.

With more than 75% of car seats in Washington installed incorrectly, participants will learn proper car seat installation techniques.

The course is ideal for those who work directly with children and families.
