RICHLAND, Wash. – More than half a dozen lawsuits have been filed against Dr. Mark Mulholland, an OBGYN accused of abusing patients. The lawsuits claim that Kadlec Regional Medical Center ignored complaints for years while Mulholland practiced there.
NonStop Local spoke with one of Mulholland’s alleged victims. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, described her experience during a follow-up appointment in June 2023 after a miscarriage. “It was supposed to be just a routine doctor’s appointment,” she said.
“Doctor Mark Mulholland entered the room. He demanded my husband to move out of view. Saying that he didn’t need to see this… then he moved on doing a physical exam. And that physical exam, wasn’t routine. It was not medically necessary. He sexually assaulted me… And despite my attempts to get him to stop, he continued, so I did ask him to stop, and he didn’t care… Doctor Mark Mulholland sexually assaulted me that day.”
After speaking with the law firm representing these women, it was revealed that the initial lawsuits are in the early stages of litigation. A lawyer involved in the case mentioned that as many as 50 to 60 women have reached out with similar stories, and additional lawsuits are expected soon.
Kadlec confirmed that Dr. Mulholland is no longer practicing at their facility but declined to comment on the pending litigation.
