
PASCO, Wash. – A suspect was taken into custody after report of a weapons offense involving a knife at the Starlite Motel in Pasco.
According to Pasco Police Sergeant David Herrera, the incident began when a motel employee approached the suspect to retrieve motel property, as the suspect’s room rental time had expired.
The suspect pulled out a knife and attempted to assault the employee. However, the employee defended himself and did not back down, Herrera said.
Following the confrontation, the suspect changed his mind and walked away.
Pasco Police were able to quickly and safely arrest the suspect without the use of force.
