WASHINGTON – The City of Walla Walla, Yakima, Richland and Kittitas County have announced holiday closures for city offices and facilities.
The City of Walla Walla closures:
City offices and facilities including the Sudbury Road Landfill at 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Dec. 24, and closed on Thursday, Dec. 25.Walla Walla Public Library Book Drop will be closed
Additionally, if your residential trash/recycling collection days falls on Thursday, your container will be serviced on Friday. For collection questions please call 509-527-4423.
City of Yakima offices will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25 and Thursday, Jan. 1Yakima Transit will not provide bus service on Christmas Day and News Years DayScheduled garbage service will not be provided on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, collection will be on a one-day delayLions Pool will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1Harman Center will be closed on Dec. 24-25, and Jan 1

The Upper District Court will close at noon at Christmas Eve, Wednesday December 24th and the day after Christmas on December 26th.
The City of Richland closures:
The City of Richland announces that all City facilities will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday.
Normal business hours will resume on Thursday, December 26, for the following facilities:
Richland City HallRichland Community Center (NOTE: The Richland Community Center is also closed December 22-23 for annual maintenance)Richland Public LibraryThe Horn Rapids Landfill
There will be no garbage collection on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25. Collection services will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week, with service continuing through Saturday. Normal collection schedules will resume on Monday.
Emergency services, including police and fire, will remain available during the holiday closure.
