
KENNEWICK, Wash. – The Coyote Canyon Mammoth Site in Kennewick is calling for volunteers to support its ongoing research and public education efforts.
The site, managed by the MCBONES Research Center Foundation, features remains of a Columbian mammoth from an Ice Age flood 17,000 years ago.
Volunteers can engage in diverse roles, including Dig House Manager, Store Manager, Volunteer Coordinator, Site Volunteer and Education Assistant.
Training is provided on-site, and both adults and high school youths (accompanied by an adult) are welcome, MCBONES said in a release.
