KENNEWICK, Wash. – The Kennewick City Council will hold a swearing-in ceremony for Brad Klippert, who has been elected to Position 4, during their workshop meeting on November 25.

Klippert, a Benton County sheriff’s deputy since 1999, won the November election with 66.84% of the votes, defeating Gloria Tyler Baker. He was a candidate for the vacant Benton County Sheriff’s position, but the role went to Michael Clark instead.

In addition to his law enforcement work, Klippert served in the Washington State House of Representatives, representing the 8th Legislative District from 2008 to 2022. He has been involved in sponsoring legislation related to public safety, veterans’ affairs and education.
