KENNEWICK, Wash.–Two adults were seen on video surveillance cameras attempting to steal store merchandise with juveniles, who officers believe are their children.
The suspects had the juveniles put clothes and other merchandise into baskets before attempting to leave the store without paying, according to the Kennewick Police Department.
When the juveniles were stopped by loss prevention, one suspect pretended he did not know them and attempted to intervene, despite video surveillance showing the adults and juveniles together the entire time, according to KPD. The juveniles ran during the attempt to stop them, and the adult suspects fled in a blue sedan before officers arrived.
Information on the incident or suspects can be directed to non emergency dispatch at 509-628-0333, referencing KPD 25-026853.
