KENNEWICK, Wash. – The City of Kennewick announced the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new splash pad at Kenneth Serier Pool, set for Friday, May 30 at 3:00 p.m.

The new addition was funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the city said in a release.

“This project is a great example of how CDBG funds can bring neighbors together and create safe, fun spaces for families to enjoy,” said Kylie Peel, City of Kennewick Community Development Coordinator.

The city thanked Kennewick Parks & Recreation and the Public Works Department for their hard work in making the splash pad a reality.

The public is invited to join the celebration.
