KENNEWICK, Wash. – A man accused of carrying out a coffee stand burglary was arrested by officers from the Kennewick Police Department (KPD) on Friday.

According to KPD, officers responded to a business on the 2000 block of North Columbia Center Boulevard around 5 a.m. They heard reports that a suspect broke the drive-up window and stole the tip jar, in addition to other items.

Surveillance footage from the coffee stand and nearby businesses helped officers develop a physical description of the suspect.

Later that day, officers spotted a man matching the suspect’s description and took him into custody. KPD noted that many of the stolen items, including the tips, were recovered.

The suspect was booked into Benton County Jail for second-degree burglary and destruction of property.
