KENNEWICK, Wash. – Heidi Morrison, a registered nurse with Trios Health, has been selected as the recipient of a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.
The recognition is “reserved for nurses who exemplify exceptional compassion, clinical excellence, and dedication to patient care,” Trios Health said in a press release.
Morrison joined the medical-surgical team at Trios Health in April 2023.
“Her nomination rose to the top for the DAISY committee due to the heartfelt compassion she shows not only to patients, but also to their families during critical moments,” Trios Health said.
Morrison was nominated for the award by a patient’s family member.
“She is a very compassionate nurse—attentive to her patient and to the grieving family,” the family member shared. “I thank God and upper management for listening and caring about my concerns for my husband’s welfare. Kudos are due to Heidi! She is thorough, explains everything, and keeps her word. She says she loves her job, and it shows!”
