KENNWICK, Wash. – Construction is underway on a new low-income housing development that is expected to house 58 families, according to the Kennewick Housing Authority.
The project, called “Bubble on Gum,” is being constructed on a 3.7 acre parcel of land on East 13th Avenue and South Gum Street.
The project has been in development since 2023, and is expected to be completed by October 2026.
To qualify, families cannot earn more than 50% of the area’s median income.
