Junior League of Yakima hosts volunteer-a-thon for local nonprofits

YAKIMA, Wash. – The Junior League of Yakima is set to host its annual JLY EMPOWERS event on April 19 in celebration of National Volunteer Week.

This community-wide day of service will see JLY members and volunteers supporting various nonprofit organizations across Yakima Valley, including Foster First, La Casa Hogar, Memorial Foundation, OIC of Washington and Rod’s House.

Celebrating 90 years of service, the Junior League of Yakima has been a cornerstone in the community since 1934, supporting women and children through impactful programs and volunteer training. The organization emphasizes advancing women’s leadership through volunteer action and collaboration.
