KENNEWICK, Wash. – On April 9, depending on weather, the City of Kennewick will be performing its yearly herbicide application on curb and gutter lines and gravel shoulders across the city.
The City says Rimrock Landscapes will perform the work. A dye, which will be either yellow or blue, will be used to help applying the herbicide.
The herbicide will dry in about 30 minutes with the dye fading in about three to four weeks. The application areas are safe to enter after they dry.
The City urges anyone who touches the herbicide while it’s wet to remove contaminated clothing and rinse skin immediately with water for 15 to 20 minutes.
Visit the City’s website for an application map and call 509-585-4419 with any questions.
