
HANFORD, Wash. – Residents near the Hanford Site should not be alarmed if they hear sirens during the early afternoon hours of Thursday, April 16.
The Department of Energy (DOE) announced it will activate emergency sirens between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. as part of a scheduled drill.
This exercise is part of an ongoing program aimed at testing equipment and training employees on emergency response procedures, the DOE said.
