TRI-CITIES, Wash.- Friends of Disabled Veterans is a nonprofit run completely by volunteers bringing veterans and their families closer together. FODV developed a 140-acre ranch in Prosser where veterans and their families can come out to enjoy the land and rebuild bonds strained by service.

With that goal in mind, FODV is hosting a free salmon fishing giveaway. Khris Byer, Senior Operations Director and army veteran said all veterans can submit for a chance to win. “It’s a way for veterans to reconnect with people they love,” said Byer. “Each winner gets to bring their own friend of their choice with them on the fishing trip.”

14 lucky people will be chosen to take part in the free salmon fishing trip October 4th with a professional guide. The closing date for submissions in Monday, September 22. That is when Byer said FODV will draw the 14 winners.

To submit, you can scan the QR code on the flyer or email Khris@friendsofdisabledveterans.org, enter “Fishing Lottery 2025” in the subject line and provide the name, branch of service and contact information.

Veterans do not need to be disabled to submit.
