Franklin County leaders pass resolution pushing health district to halt COVID-19 vaccinations

PASCO, Wash. – Franklin County Commissioners voted to pass a resolution requesting the Benton-Franklin Health District to stop administering COVID-19 vaccines, alleging health and safety concerns.

The resolution passed unanimously at a meeting on the morning of Wed., Feb. 19.

Not only does the resolution say the BFHD should stop providing the vaccine, but also stop providing, funding and promoting other vaccines labeled as “gene therapy,” in reference to the mRNA vaccine.

BFHD has also requested to conduct a thorough review, presentation and discussion of COVID-19 “gene therapy” vaccines.

The CDC notes that mRNA vaccines do not meet their definition of gene therapy, as no genetic material enters the nucleus of cells that host DNA as a result of the vaccines.

Along with the requests, the resolution states that Franklin County supports legislation that creates corporate liability for harm caused by products that uses genetic technology, provides compensation and treatment for harmed Washington citizens and prohibits mandates regarding medical procedures or interventions.

The resolution uses the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) to state the danger of the COVID-19 vaccine. According to VAERS, 24,203 Washington residents had adverse reactions to the COVID-19 vaccine since Dec. 27, 2024, including 238 deaths.

However, the CDC states that anyone can report events to VAERS, even if it is not clear if a vaccine caused the problem.

The CDC says the number of deaths reported to VAERS following COVID-19 vaccinations have been misinterpreted as if the number means deaths that were proven to be caused by vaccination.
