ZILLAH, Wash. – Former Zillah Mayor Gary Clark is currently in custody at the Yakima County Jail after pleading guilty to child sexual abuse charges.
This development follows Clark’s arrest in Zillah in March 2021, outlined in court documents.
Clark, who served multiple terms as the Zillah mayor, admitted to engaging in sexual acts with a minor younger than 12 years old between 2007 and 2011.
The 78-year-old has been charged with multiple counts of first-degree rape of a child, according to court documents.
Clark’s sentencing is scheduled for March 7.
