Richland, Wash. – The REACH Museum is gearing up for its annual “Spuds and Suds” event on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

This yearly fundraiser promises an evening filled with food, music, and community spirit. The event will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction, followed by a live auction called “Raise the Paddle.”

From 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., attendees can enjoy live music by Nuketown on the patio.

Swampy’s BBQ and drinks from Rattlesnake Mountain Wineries will be served.

Tickets for Spuds and Suds can be purchased online at REACHFoundationWA.org, or attendees may choose to walk-in and buy a ticket on the day of the event.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will directly support the museum’s educational programs.

Pauline Schafer from REACH emphasized, “You can be guaranteed that this funding is going to affect the local community the future of our workforce as our education programs are really focused on hands-on education for visitors to the museum as well as local school children.”

The event will also honor Dr. Fred Raab, a key figure in the museum’s history and the leader of REACH during its construction phase

Boyd, who has been working with the REACH museum since its inception, expressed his passion for the museum’s mission, stating, “This is all about kids and this museum is about this area and so people come to the museum and they get to see a taste of what this area is about.”

For those unable to attend, online donations are welcome and will be recognized during the “Raise the Paddle” part of the event.

Join the community in celebrating the REACH Museum and its contribution to preserving local history while enjoying a night of food, music, and fun.
