
KENNEWICK, Wash. – A fire broke out at the Arlo apartments in Kennewick, but quick action by crews kept the fire from spreading.
Deputy Fire Chief Michael Heffner of the Kennewick Fire Department said they were called out to the apartments at 4:57 p.m. on March 26 and arrived within five minutes. The fire was under control just nine minutes after their arrival.
The fire was contained to a single bedroom in the apartment.
A family resides in the affected apartment. They are working with apartment management and the Red Cross for temporary housing solutions, said Chief Heffner.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported among residents or fire crews. However, the room suffered significant damage, Chief Heffner added.
