One passenger died in the single-car crash on State Route 82, according to a press memo from Washington State Patrol.
The driver and the other two passengers inside the car were all injured and transported to Multicare Yakima Memorial Hospital.
According to WSP, the driver was the only one wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. – At least one fatality is confirmed after a single-car crash on State Route 82 around 2 miles from the Yakima County line on Monday morning, according to Washington State Patrol.
“Initial reports indicating speeding too fast for conditions was the cause,” according to the WSP District 6 Public Information Officer.
The car was traveling westbound at the time of the crash.
