Elementary and middle-school students interested in experimenting and exploring connections between math, technology, science and engineering (STEM) are invited to a STEM Day next month at Yakima Valley College (YVC).

YVC said in its release that it’s partnering with the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) to host the free event on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Glenn Anthon Hall, Building 4.

While YVC showcases its STEM Pathway program, OMSI will provide live demonstrations and bring 12 to 15 tables with science equipment and challenges, the release said.

YVC said the displays are guaranteed to thrill youngsters, perplex adults and offer an unforgettable science experience.

Groups of 10 or more planning to attend STEM Day are asked to contact STEM Navigator Vanessa Tucker for reservation times at vtucker@yvcc.edu or 509.574.4892.

For more information about the STEM Pathway program, visit the YVC website.
