KENNEWICK, Wash. – Kennewick Police are looking for two felony eluding suspects after a chase and crash early Wednesday morning.
KPD says at around 2:30 a.m., an officer attempted a traffic stop near West 1st Avenue and South Benton Street for an equipment violation. Instead of stopping, the driver reportedly sped southbound and hit a canal embankment, launching the car over the canal.
The two people in the car got out and ran away. They were not found despite officers searching the area, but the car was seized for a search warrant.
